Field Applications Engineer

SUMMARY:

The Sensory Fields Application Engineer will provide ongoing support to new and existing customers’ implementations to assure customer satisfaction. Will work with internal technology development teams to investigate problems and develop software and hardware solutions for voice interfaces.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support, research, and answer questions for customers developing products with our technology
  • Troubleshoot problems in customer designs and devise solutions and workarounds
  • Contribute to and maintain a FAQ/knowledge base of support information
  • Help create and maintain a knowledge base of technical support information
  • Develop demos and reference apps to show off Sensory technologies
  • Occasional travel to customer locations to support development or troubleshooting
  • Work with geographically dispersed teams

PRIMARY SKILLS / SPECIALITY / TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of hardware and software development on embedded systems
  • Familiarity with speech recognition and audio processing
  • Familiarity with app development in Android, iOS, and LINUX
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills required
  • Quick learner, able to troubleshoot problems and find solutions
  • Ability to work with a team or independently
  • Ability to multi-task between multiple customers and technologies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years’ work experience in a customer technical support position
  • Proficiency in C and assembly.
  • Experience debugging uC-based and/or DSP based systems
  • Good written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience with Zoho Desks is a plus
